The PowerPage 3000 system consists of a collection of modules, each
with a specific function, and connected via an RS485 data bus. The PowerPage
Remote Link Controller (RLC) enables these buses to be extended using suitable
data and audio links. This means a single site requiring a data bus longer
than the normal 3280 feet maximum, or several sites located at a distance
from each other can be incorporated into one PowerPage 3000 paging system.
